Picture this: it’s a fresh Sunday morning. The sun is shining on the streets of Hackney and there’s a faint smell of coffee in the air. There’s no traffic, but the streets couldn’t be busier. There’s a group of people holding signs that read “Run now, pint later” and “This would’ve been faster on a Lime bike.”. There’s a big cheer from the crowd, and out of the corner of your eye you spot two giant boob suits, and a sea of bright pink pom poms.

This weekend we had the pleasure of attending the Hackney Half Marathon 2026 to cheer on Team CoppaFeel! – our incredible runners – raising life-savings funds for CoppaFeel!.

Some stats from the day:

  • 160 CoppaFeel! runners on the start line 🏃
  • £66,000 raised (and counting!) 💷
  • 13.1 miles through East London 📍
  • 942 photobooth shots printed 📸

We supplied the glitter, the goods and the ‘gram content (whilst we’ve got you – follow us on Instagram).

One of our Team CoppaFeel! runners, Malak Nasirr, showed up and showed out in honour of our chest-checking message. Malak is a London-based creator reshaping what running and fitness content looks and sounds like. Through her running journey, she brings humour, personality, and signature London slang to the forefront, making movement feel fun, accessible, and completely her own.

What made you want to run for CoppaFeel!?

“Running is all about feeling good in your body and that’s exactly what CoppaFeel!’s message is. It’s so important to check in with yourself (and your chest!) and make sure everything feels right. Running the Hackney Half Marathon for CoppaFeel! is a great way to spread awareness of such an important issue like breast cancer.”

What was going through your head on the start line?

“I was so excited – there was so many people and the vibe was insane!’

What was your highlight of the day?

“Finishing! The race didn’t go as expected and I crashed way earlier than usual so it was a huge mental battle to not stop for most of the day. So, finishing felt amazing!”

Any advice for someone thinking about signing up next year?

“Don’t start out too strong, you’ll get tired, so go at an easy pace. And expect a tough course and stay hydrated!”

Why does the CoppaFeel! mission matter to you?

“Black women are diagnosed with breast cancer at a disproportionate rate due to it being caught too late. As a Black female runner, I know the power of showing up and being seen. CoppaFeel! gets us checking early, and that message needs to reach every woman, in every community. That’s why this mission isn’t just important to me. It’s personal.”

Running for Team CoppaFeel! is more than just getting a PB. It’s actively raising funds towards our life-saving work. Our mission is simple: educate young people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, encourage them to check their chest once a month, and empower them to see their GP if things don’t feel right. By running for Team CoppaFeel!, you’re actively fundraising towards a better future for young people – because early detection saves lives.

Whether you ran for us this year and are craving the runners high again, or you’re feeling inspired and are up for the challenge, we’ve bagged places for next year and would love to have you join us in a charity place for 2027.
