CoppaFeel! Youth Network
The CoppaFeel! Youth Network is an opportunity for young people to have their say on what we do, and help shape our work.
The CoppaFeel! Youth Network launched in 2025 and is open to anyone aged 18–24. It helps us keep our campaigns, resources and ideas relevant, accessible and grounded in the experiences of the young people we exist for.
Throughout the year, we share opportunities for members to get involved – whether that’s reviewing resources, shaping campaigns, testing new ideas or sharing honest feedback. Every insight helps us create work that better connects with young people.
There are lots of ways to get involved with the Youth Network, from joining focus groups and reviewing resources to co-creating content with our social media team. Opportunities take place both online and in person, so members can get involved in ways that work for them.
Since launching in 2025, the Youth Network has helped shape projects across CoppaFeel!. Below are some examples.
We worked with members of the Youth Network to shape our new brand showreel from the very beginning. Through a series of workshops they shared honest feedback on the direction, tone and messaging, helping us create a final film that feels authentic and connects with young people.
The Youth Network helped shape the future of our Awareness Events by sharing ideas on how we can reach more young people with our checking message. Their insights informed our 2026 events strategy and longer-term planning.
We brought the Youth Network together to review our healthcare resources, including CoppaFeel! posters and leaflets, to understand how well they resonated with young people. Members shared what worked well, what could be improved, whether the resources felt youth-friendly, and suggested changes to help make them more engaging and relevant.
To celebrate Asda Tickled Pink raising £100 million over 29 years, two Youth Network members took part in a taste test featuring products from the exclusive Tickled Pink range. Their involvement helped bring a young voice to the campaign.
We often ask the Youth Network to share their views through surveys, covering everything from social media trends and favourite brands to where our health information should be seen. These insights are shared across CoppaFeel!, helping teams make informed decisions and keep young people at the heart of our work.
Our Youth Network is made up of young people from all walks of life, each with their own reasons for getting involved. From personal experience to a passion for advocacy, here’s why some of our members decided to join in their own words.
“I first got involved with CoppaFeel! when I was in Year 12 through their school challenge.
“I wanted to get more involved with opportunities that help young people develop skills, meet like minded people, and build confidence. This experience has allowed me to work with new people and contribute to a supportive community. I've really enjoyed getting involved and being able to take part in opportunities such as Wireless, Black Pride, Focus groups as it allowed me to step out of my comfort zone in a fun way.”
“I joined the Youth Network as CoppaFeel!’s mission genuinely matters to me.
“I joined CoppaFeel! because someone close to me went through a breast cancer scare. This showed me how important early detection and open conversations about breast health can be, especially among us youth. I wanted to help spread awareness while supporting CoppaFeel's message, and encourage my peers to remain informed about their health.”
“I joined CoppaFeel! Youth Network as an ally and campaigner for those who are or have lived with breast cancer. Having had family members pass away with breast cancer I know first hand the impact it can have. I want to help other young people by campaigning for a more equal world, so that any young person diagnosed with breast cancer in the future feels supported.”
Anyone aged 18-24 can join the CoppaFeel! Youth Network.
We want our Youth Network to be reflective of the people we’re trying to reach. As a UK based charity, you can apply if you’re based anywhere in the UK.
We believe that young people should be remunerated for their involvement in our work so, where possible, we try to always offer vouchers or payment dependent on the project.
The majority of the opportunities for the Youth Network are online. Occasionally, we might have opportunities based in our priority regions or at our office (in London), but we will cover travel expenses for these.
We encourage all members to take part in at least three opportunities in a year. However, we recognise that life can sometimes get in the way, making it difficult to participate. If you’d like to be involved and are unsure if you’re able to commit to this, please get in touch.
