Book a volunteer talk
If you would like to invite a volunteer to come along and hold an inspiring educational talk, online or in person, or a stall, please fill out the booking form and we will be in touch with availability asap.
Our volunteers are a team who have all been affected by breast cancer in some way between the age of 18 – 35. They have either had a breast cancer diagnosis, and may still be undergoing treatment, or have a personal experience – whether that’s a genetic connection to the disease, a breast cancer scare, preventative surgery or a close connection to the disease through family or friends. Using their stories, they inspire others to think differently about their lives and bodies, educating people about the importance of getting to know your normal now, and making it a lifelong habit.

If you’ve been affected by breast cancer between the age of 18-35 and have been diagnosed with breast cancer, have a genetic link, have had preventative surgery, a breast cancer scare or have a strong connection to the disease and would like to get involved.
Volunteers visit schools, colleges, youth groups, workplaces and community groups – either virtually or in-person – to deliver educational talks that encourage people to cop-a-feel regularly and start healthy habits for life.
You’ll deliver our lifesaving message in a lighthearted way to inspire people to think differently about their lives and bodies. You’ll share your personal connection to breast cancer, CoppaFeel!’s breast awareness message and the importance of getting to know your chest, to audiences of varying sizes.
The role is flexible around your life and location and you can choose to volunteer when it suits you.
“I chose to become a volunteer because I think it helps other people understand that it can happen to someone who looks like me. The main thing I take away from it all is that I could essentially save somebody’s life.”
All you need to know about our volunteer sessions.
The presentation covers the volunteer’s personal story, CoppaFeel! founder Kris’ story, breast cancer facts and myths, signs and symptoms, the work of CoppaFeel!, how we can remind you to start self-checking and guidance on how to self-check.
They are usually 45 minutes, but we book an hour slot and encourage having time for questions.
We love to visit health fairs, freshers fairs, anywhere you’d like us to set up a stall to hand out awareness materials, checking reminders and join us for some chest chat!
All genders can be affected by breast cancer so we very much encourage speaking with mixed groups to make sure everyone is equipped with this potentially life saving message.
We generally recommend from about 13, but we will very much take the lead from you and what you feel is appropriate for your group.
We are happy to speak to any number, whether you are a small group (minimum of 3) or a large assembly, we will eagerly come along and share our boob wisdom.
If you’re booking an online talk, our Zoom account has a limit of 100 participants. If your audience is likely to exceed this amount, we’d ask that you host the session. We’re also happy to book another session for anyone who isn’t able to attend.
At CoppaFeel! we want to educate every young person on coppin’ a feel. We strongly welcome applications from Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic, LGBTQ+ and male applicants as we want to increase the representation of these groups within CoppaFeel!.
