We’re here to remind you that breast cancer can happen to anyone, no matter your age, gender or ethnicity. Knowing the signs of breast cancer is important, because early detection can be life-saving. Breast Cancer - The Facts
Breast Cancer is the most common cancer in females aged 15+
1 in 7 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime
Black & South Asian Women are more likely to be diagnosed at Stage 3 and 4 due to significant health inequities in the UK.
Most women (almost 100%) will survive their cancer for 5 years or more when diagnosed at the earliest stage.
Chest checking simply means getting to know what feels normal for you and your chest. So if you do spot a change you can act quickly and speak to your GP. And… when diagnosed early breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.
