Choose your CoppaTrek! Challenge

  • I just wanted to say that being part of a trek is like therapy for me. Everyone is so friendly and inviting and it just makes me feel so at ease. It is a very special bunch of people that take part, I’ve never known anything like it before and I’m very grateful to be a very small part of it

  • The organisation, to the volunteers, just EVERYTHING about this CoppaTrek! Challenge blew me away. What an absolutely incredible day.

  • It was so well organised from start to finish and you really felt part of a team. The t-shirt, cap, glitter, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and drink – made you feel so well looked after and appreciated.

  • It was the friendliest and most inspiring event I have ever been to.

  • I was blown away by the quality of the event, the care and attention to detail, the vibe, the energy! I felt so looked after and so energised by the whole thing!

  • The staff and volunteers you have are very special people – and the atmosphere and joy they create around the event is what makes it stand out and shine!

FAQs

Who can sign up to the CoppaTrek! Challenge?

The CoppaTrek! Challenge is open to everyone over the age of 18. We welcome trekkers of all ages, genders, religions, ethnicities and backgrounds.

Do I need to have a personal experience with breast cancer?

Not at all – just a passion for the work we do at CoppaFeel! and the desire to help educate the nation on the importance of chest-checking.

How fit do I have to be?

Our CoppaTrek! Challenge is designed to be tough, but achievable (after all, you’ll be walking a half or full marathon in one day!). They require a good level of fitness that can be achieved through training. Don’t worry, we’ll provide you with support for training in the build up.

Can I take part if I have a health condition or disability?

We try to make our treks as inclusive as possible, and will do our best to accommodate those with health conditions or disabilities.

Many of our previous trekkers have had cancer or are going through active treatment. If this is the case for you, weask that you do seek medical advice from a doctor before embarking on the trek.

If you have any questions around accessibility or the suitability of the treks for your condition, then please email us on events@coppafeel.org.

Can I trek with friends and family?

Absolutely! You’re more than welcome to gather your nearest and dearest to join us on the trek. That said, we do encourage everyone to mingle and get to know our other lovely trekkers over the weekend too.

If you’d like to fundraise as a group, that’s completely fine – just let us know by emailing events@coppafeel.org. Please note that each person will still need to meet the individual minimum fundraising target within your group total.

What will camping and facilities be like?

All of our trek campsites differ depending on their location. Tents aren’t provided and participants will need to bring their own (and set it up too!).

There will be toilets and unlimited drinking water available.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided. Lunch will be a packed lunch available for collection in the morning before you set off on your trek, and most dietary requirements can be catered for. Please make sure you include all of these when you register for the trek and email us on events@coppafeel.org if anything changes.

Will there be a packing list and training plan provided ahead of the trek?

Yes, we’ll send you a detailed packing list and training plan in the months leading up to your trek. These resources are designed to help you feel well-prepared and confident for the adventure ahead. The packing list will cover all the essentials you’ll need, and the training plan will guide you in building the right level of fitness for the terrain and conditions.

My religious beliefs mean that I have special requirements, such as needing to pray at certain times of the day. Will you factor this in?

Most definitely! We’re a very inclusive bunch and want everyone to feel at home on a CoppaTrek!. If you have any requests or adjustments that need to be made, then please let us know and we can make sure we factor these into the trek.

What is the fundraising target?

The fundraising target is £250, which is to be raised via the fundraising platform, JustGiving. GiftAid and the registration fee don’t count towards this.

What happens if I don’t hit the fundraising target?

We know that fundraising can be daunting! But our friendly team will be on hand to offer you support in the build up to the trek.

We’ve broken the fundraising into the deadlines:

The first target of £100 is usually due four weeks before we trek, around the time that we need to pay our suppliers. If your circumstances change and you’re no longer able to hit that first fundraising target, we’ll cancel your place on the trek.

The second deadline is four weeks after the trek, and will be for the full fundraising target amount of £250.

Please see our CoppaTrek! Terms and Conditions to see exact dates and fundraising amounts required for each trek.

When does registration close?

Registration will close around four weeks before the trek or when the event is sold out. We  recommend signing up as soon as possible to avoid missing out on the CoppaTrek! fun!

What if I need to cancel my place?

If your circumstances change and you need to cancel your place on the CoppaTrek! Challenge, we ask that you kindly let us know as soon as possible so that we don’t get charged for your place and can offer it to another participant on our waiting list.

Unfortunately, the registration fee is non-refundable.

What if I have additional questions?

Then please email us on events@coppafeel.org and we’ll do our best to get back to you as soon as we can.
