We’re so excited to announce we have collaborated with the JD Foundation, in a partnership driven by young people, for young people. 

The JD Foundation, founded in 2015, aims to support organisations working with disadvantaged young people in the UK to help them achieve their full potential. Alongside the JD Foundation, we’ll be launching CoppaFeel!’s first EVER youth network, allowing young people to be more involved in shaping and developing all areas of our work (from projects, and partnerships to  strategy and resources) whilst gaining new skills and experiences in the different areas of the charity sector.

Our exciting new Youth Network wouldn’t be possible without support from the JD Foundation and is a result of our Youth Engagement Strategy; something we worked on last year to ensure we are reflecting and representing the voices we exist to serve. Our objective as a charity is to reach all young people aged 18-24 with our chest-checking message, and what better way to do that than by working with an organisation that knows young people so well?

JD Sports have repeatedly come up as a brand that young people we talk to think is authentic, trustworthy and relatable, and a brand that they think CoppaFeel! should partner with. With this research in mind, we enlisted our Young Consultants to be involved in our video application to the JD Foundation, to ensure this was authentic and relevant and to show just how passionate we are about reaching young people with our life-saving message. They even helped us launch the partnership over on our socials!

We’ve got one goal in mind: CoppaFeel!’s partnership with the JD Foundation will support young people to achieve their unlimited potential. We’ll work together to make sure young people are educated, encouraged and empowered to check their chest monthly to ensure the early diagnosis of breast cancer, to ultimately save lives.
