Our #BraHijack reminder labels have been gracing lingerie since 2013, when we first started asking the great-and-good of the underwear world to help us get the bra-wearing public of Britain checking their boobs. Since then we’ve been lucky enough to partner with some awesome brands, including Today’s Boob Champions, MAAREE. We spoke to them about their mission to support our charity and boobs (yes, we mean that literally).
Tell us a little about yourself and your brand
I started MAAREE in order to support women and empower them to achieve their full potential. Sports bras are very technical pieces, and women rely on them to be active and at their best. So many women out there are deterred from exercise due to not having a good enough sports bra, and this did not sit right with me. So I decided to tackle this problem myself and offer a revolutionary sports bra design which supports in a way no other has done before.
Why did you get involved with CoppaFeel!?
CoppaFeel! are such a fantastic charity who are as passionate about breast health as we are. We are all about empowering women from an earlier age to be more aware of themselves and to look after their breast health and feel confident enough to seek help if needed. We’re proud to be supporting such a great cause!
You’re a corporate partner, tell us a bit more about what that involves?
MAAREE will continue to support and partner with CoppaFeel! for as long as they need us. We will spread the boob loving word and empower women to get to know their boobs! And, of course, we hope to get involved with as many of your events as we possibly can.
Do you think there’s still a need to raise awareness of breast cancer? Why?
We are getting closer to beating cancer each day, but it is only because of improvements in awareness and research that these great strides been possible. But we still need to ensure more young people are checking their boobs regularly in order to ensure everyone has the best chance of surviving this disease.
What has been the best thing about your experience so far?
The amazing energy that the CoppaFeel! team give out! You are all so enthusiastic and passionate about what you do, it’s clear you all love what you do and it’s impossible not to laugh around you all. It’s infectious!
