Stop what you’re doing – we need to talk.
We are so proud to say that Asda Tickled Pink, our brilliant partnership with Asda and Breast Cancer Now, has raised £100 million for breast cancer charities! What an incredible fundraising milestone, and one we will be celebrating throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month and beyond.
In 2020, CoppaFeel! was invited to join the Asda Tickled Pink partnership and what an incredible impact it has had on what we’ve been able to achieve. With huge thanks to Asda, their colleagues, customers and suppliers, Tickled Pink has raised over £8 million for CoppaFeel! over the last five years.
The support from the partnership has been game-changing for CoppaFeel! as a charity, and the funding has gone towards supporting our educational and awareness projects to ensure that all breast cancers are diagnosed early and accurately.
A few examples of what the money raised has helped achieve:
- The development and running of our award-winning Self-Checkout web tool; giving users the support they need to become regular, motivated checkers. Since its launch in June 2021, the app has had over 330,000 users with 63% feeling confident to check after using the tool.
- The provision of a range of free resources to help spread our life-saving message. Over 36,000 education and awareness-raising packs and resources have been sent out, with an estimated reach of 4.5 million young people.
- The development and provision of free and accredited information and training resources for healthcare professionals to support them in their learning and development. We have reached over 70,000 healthcare professionals in the healthcare space, helping to increase their knowledge around the relevancy and risk of breast cancer in young people.
- It enables us to create bespoke resources and campaigns to reach communities who are more likely to experience worse breast cancer outcomes. Funding has allowed us to collaborate on powerful campaigns with Black Women Rising and Amaliah to highlight the relevance of breast cancer in young women from Black and South Asian communities.
Impressive, right?! We love to toot our own horn and that’s because all of this hard work is helping us to educate young people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, ultimately saving lives.
We are so excited to see what comes next for Asda Tickled Pink and the impact together we can make. So, stay tuned for more awareness raising, fundraising, and a whole lot of fun.
Thank you once again Asda Tickled Pink and to everyone who makes this partnership as amazing as it is!
A sneak peak of our 2025 Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign…
Throughout October we’ll be sharing the impact of Asda Tickled Pink and how £100M has helped both charities achieve so much.
- In Asda stores, you’ll find an abundance of your favourite brands and products turned pink, with chest-checking messaging and a donation attached to each purchase. Now that’s what we love to hear!
- Asda colleagues will be raising awareness and funds in stores and encouraging customers to get involved. Hopefully you’ll learn a lot, and maybe even win a prize..
- On socials and in the press, we’ll be shouting about this incredible milestone and hoping to inspire Asda customers and colleagues to start their chest checking journey.
- A brilliant bunch of storytellers will be sharing their breast cancer experiences and why they think chest checking is so important.
So here’s to another wonderful year of Asda Tickled Pink and our mission to make checking your boobs, pecs and chests, whoever you are, as normal as your Asda shop.
