Tracey Howe is embarking on an incredible journey. Her wife, Angela, died from cancer in September 2023 aged only 58, after 37 years of marriage. The two planned to tour the UK together in a van after retirement as healthcare professionals and after Angela passed, Tracey made the decision to do the trip alone to honour her wife and process her grief.

Labelling her remarkable mission ‘TraceysTrek’, Tracey, 61, is walking 5,000 miles across the coastline of Britain over 12 months. She’s averaging at 17 miles a day and sleeping in her motorhome, Priscilla.

As if what Tracey is doing wasn’t incredible enough, she’s also fundraising whilst she treks, and is donating 100% of the proceeds to 5 different charities that have helped her and her family, including CoppaFeel!. We couldn’t be more grateful to Tracey for choosing us as one of the charities she wants to support and so we want to support her as she embarks on this amazing journey.

Tracey’s walking through all weather conditions and all terrains, and she’s getting the recognition she deserves, having received an award from Attitude Magazine’s PRIDE awards for helping others navigate their grief with her courage and determination.

Two pictures of Tracey, one of her holding a flag that reads "Traceys Trek" and one of her holding her award.

Her spirit is inspiring, and we’re so honoured to be just a small part in such an incredible mission. Thank you, Tracey, for thinking of us – we’re in awe of you.
