Why we’re not sure we can top Festifeel 10

23 October 2019

Two weeks on and we have just about recovered from Festifeel – celebrating our tenth birthday as only we know how, with the most joy-filled boob-adorned Festifeel of all time! If you joined us at Festifeel 10, we hope you loved it as much as we did, and left with some pretty special memories (and a birthday hat, obvs). Here are some of our highlights. With HUGE thanks to the whole team at Vans and House of Vans for making this happen. You make the Festifeel world go round and kitted us out with the clobber of dreams for the day. We love ya.

Our Patron and Festifeel curator Fearne Cotton pulled off the line-up dreams with an incredible bunch of performers and a main-stage masterfully hosted by the amazing Amanda Byram. Not only did we sing our hearts out to the epic Feeder, but were blessed by the soulful sounds of Tom Grennan, Bombay Bicycle Club, James Bay, Raye, Gabrielle Aplin, Elli Ingram, Tom Speight, Clara Amfo, Thrill Collins, The Mac Twins, Gemma Cairney, Arielle Free, Jack Saunders, Rae Morris and Goldierocks. How’s that for a party playlist?

The comedy stage killed it

Not only did we have a stellar music line-up, but our fave Bristolian Jayde Adams pulled out all the stops to make sure we had an equally amazing comedy line-up! The comedy stage saw a day filled with roaring laughter, boob chat and a whole lot of lols, thanks to this incredibly talented bunch: Sara Pascoe, Sarah Callaghan, Harriet Dyer, Rosie Jones, Sarah Keyworth, Kiri Pritchard-Mclean, Joe Sutherland, and our wonderful host Steve Bugeja.

Boob town brought it home

Raising the bar once again, Boob Town hosted an incredible range of stalls and activities for all our Festifeel-lovin’, boob-checkin’ guests! From the sparkly, colourful bunch at Jingo catering for our biodegradable glitter needs, to Extract Coffee providing everyone’s coffee fix and BeeIllustrates creating live portraits of our lovely guests. Avon’s returned with their marvelous manicure bar, and we were joined by the delectable Naked Dough, Aesthetic Laundry (purveyors of the finest tassel braids you’ve ever known), and Three Spirits with their non-alcoholic bevvies. Boob Town was made birthday-ready with cake donated to us by the lovely Hummingbird Bakery, Violet Cakes, Ruby’s of London, and the amazing Frances Quinn. To top it off, we had the magicial Psychic Tracey and co. bringing some mystic truths to the masses, and a monumental mosaic made up of all our guests’ photos, courtesy of the teams at Fujifilm and Luster.

We took a trip down mammory lane

It wouldn’t be a birthday without a little nostalgia, so the lovely folk at Heaps + Stacks trawled through the archives to transform House of Vans into House of Boobs, for a little trip down mammory lane. Our guests joined the party through our very own time tunnel, journeying through our favourite memories and the achievements that CoppaFeel! and our community have made over the last 10 years. Naturally, this wouldn’t have been complete without a trio of talking boob helmets, made specially for us by Lune Studios. Our ‘Grab Life by the Boobs’ campaign also came to life with the help of Cover It Up Drapes, who created a chilled out zone for guests to write a tarot card to their future selves whilst reminiscing about the past 10 years!

Avon brought back Casa CoppaFeel!

Our long-time pals Avon pulled out all the stops to create the most amazing workshops followed by a pretty epic make-up demonstration led by beauty-pro Keshia East. This year, we had some awesome stuff to get involved in including silver ring making with House of Denna, lino cutting with RUDE, needle-felted boob bags with London Craft Club, pom pom headbands and tassel earrings with Tea & Crafting, terrazzo coaster making with Katie Gillies, boobtastic badge making with Cloud Dog Studio and upcycled head piece creations with the lovely Kay. And our pals Angelo and Max pulled all the stops out to transform the space into a peaceful little hub.

Behind-the-scenes business

The famous Leake Street couldn’t get away from joining our birthday party! The incredibly talented Shannon Craik transformed the walls into a pretty amazing party piece for all to see. An amazing team worked their butts off to ensure Festifeel looked as good as it sounded, so we’d like to say a big thank you to: Happy Ending, Thought Bubbles, Live FX, Andrew Maxted, Black Sparrow Productions, Guineapig Global Ooosh Tours and all our amazing volunteers. A special mention has to go to Sarah Carless, Hannah Braid and Chalk PR – NONE of this could happen without these pretty special people and we LOVE them.
