At CoppaFeel! we are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion

We want our CoppaTrek! events to be reflective of our community and every person we exist to serve, so we encourage everyone—regardless of race, gender, or background—to apply. If you have any questions about our treks or the steps we’re taking to make them inclusive, please get in touch!

“There’s a remarkable thing that happens when you put a bunch of strangers like this together in a new environment and set them a challenge. I simply love watching the bonds formed, seeing the trekkers encourage and support each other and the way fears are broken and a new confidence built. The fact they all do this in the name of CoppaFeel! is humbling. They walk so that one day another person will one day be trekking with CoppaFeel!, saying how doing these things has saved their life.”

CoppaTrek! with Gi frequently asked questions

Who can apply to CoppaTrek! with Gi?

CoppaTrek! with Gi is open to everyone over the age of 18. We welcome applications from people of all ages, genders, religions, ethnicities and backgrounds.

Will there be another One Day CoppaTrek! Challenge?

Yes, there will! In addition to the Isle of Skye and Sahara Desert, our One Day CoppaTrek! Challenge will return for another year, taking place on the 13th September 2025. Our location is still being confirmed but if you are interested, register your interest here and you’ll be the first to know when we launch!

Register your interest for our One Day CoppaTrek! Challenge by the 1st January, and we’ll send you a special code for a discount on your One Day Alumni registration fee!

When do applications close, and when will the offers be made?

Applications for CoppaTrek! with Gi 2025 have now closed.

We will endeavor to get through applications as quickly as we can, but we have had thousands in the past, so it may take some time (we are a very small team!). But we hope to be in a position to make offers by the end of January 2025.

We will let both successful and unsuccessful applicants know – so please check your Junk Mail folders, as sometimes our emails are sneaky and end up in there.

In the meantime, we are delighted to announce that One Day CoppaTrek! Challenge will return for another year, taking place on the 13th September 2025. Our location is still being confirmed but if you are interested, register your interest for One Day CoppaTrek! Challenge and you’ll be the first to know when we launch!

Do I need to have a personal experience with breast cancer?

Not at all – just a passion for the work we do at CoppaFeel! and the desire to help educate the nation on the importance of chest checking.

How fit do I have to be?

Our CoppaTrek! challenges are designed to be tough, but achievable. They will require a good level of fitness that can be achieved through training. But don’t worry – if you’re successful, we will provide you with support for training in the build up.

Can I take part if I have a health condition or disability?

We try to ensure our treks are as inclusive as possible, and will do our best to accommodate those with health conditions or disabilities.

Many of our previous trekkers have had cancer or are going through active treatment. If this is the case for you, we do ask that you do seek medical advice from a doctor before embarking on the trek.

If you have any questions around accessibility or the suitability of the treks for your condition, then please email us on events@coppafeel.org.

What will camping and facilities be like?

All of our trek campsites differ depending on their location. However, all of our treks will involve sharing a tent with at least one other person (fellow legend). The good news is – these tents will be provided and erected for you!

There will be toilets and washing facilities onsite, and unlimited drinking water available.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided – and all dietary requirements can be catered for.

My religious beliefs mean that I have special requirements, such as needing to pray at certain times of the day. Will you factor this in?

Most definitely! We are a very inclusive bunch and want everyone to feel at home on a CoppaTrek!. If you have any requests or adjustments that need to be made, then please let us know and we make sure we factor these into the trek.

What is the fundraising target?

The fundraising targets for the treks are £2,500 (Isle of Skye) and £3,000 (Sahara Desert). These targets do not include GiftAid or the registration fee.

What happens if I don’t hit the fundraising target?

We know that fundraising large amounts can be daunting! But our friendly team will be on hand to offer you support in the build up to the trek.

We have broken the fundraising into two deadlines: The first deadline is usually 10 weeks before we trek, around the time that we need to pay our suppliers. If your circumstances change and you are no longer able to hit that first fundraising target, we will cancel your place on the trek.

The second deadline is 4 weeks after the trek, and will be for the full fundraising target amount.

Please see our CoppaTrek! Terms and Conditions to see exact dates and fundraising amounts required for each trek.

What happens if I need to cancel my place on the trek?

If you are no longer able to attend the trek, please let our team know as soon as possible on events@coppafeel.org.

Due to the nature of events, we need to pay suppliers in advance, which means that we are not able to offer refunds on registration fees or sponsorship.

We recommend everyone purchases travel insurance as soon as they book onto the trek, which will cover you for any losses incurred, should you need to pull out.

What if I have additional questions?

Then please email us on events@coppafeel.org and we will do our best to get back to you as soon as we can.
